The Benkadi Blood Project Includes:

  Developed through the Benkadi Blood web application, this system is tailored to the unique operational and infrastructure realities of Sub-Saharan Africa. It supports real-time blood inventory tracking, coordination between facilities, and improved access to life-saving blood.
  
  
• 🤖 AI-Powered Donor Engagement
  We use artificial intelligence to optimize communication and outreach, making it easier to recruit and retain voluntary blood donors, even in under-resourced areas.
  
  
• 📊 Data Collection for Research & Decision-Making
  Our platform facilitates the systematic collection of transfusion data to support evidence-based policy, operational planning, and medical research.
  
  
• ⚙️ Autonomy for Blood Banks
  The system is designed to empower local health facilities with operational independence, improving responsiveness, resource management, and efficiency.
  
  

Pilot Implementation

We have already developed a national-level blood information management system, and to validate it, we built a beta version. This prototype is currently being tested in collaboration with:

• The Second Region  Military Hospital
  
  
• The Gynecological, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital of Douala (HGOPED)
  
  

Working closely with laboratory teams and hospital staff, we’re refining the platform to ensure it fits both clinical workflows and the regional health ecosystem.
